About Us
Youth and Women Empowerment for Integral Development (YWEID) is an implementing indigenous non-governmental and nonprofit organization, free from Political, Religious, and Ethnic Divisions, committed to improving quality of life of thousands of marginalized groups of Youth and Women in Urban and Rural areas in greater Yei and throughout South Sudan.
YWEID was founded in February 2018 and was registered with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) Under Chapter 3, Section 10 of NGOs Act, 2016 of South Sudan in Juba 2020 Reg. No 2695.
YWEID strives to minimize the number of youth and women subjected to violence by empowering them through access to knowledge and greater economic independence.
Our Vision
YWEID envisions a community where all people have access to the opportunities, skills, resources and relationships they need to actualize their potential.
This is to change the lives of the marginalised and vulnerable people (Youth and Women) to ensure a quality of life through Empowerment in Education, Information, Infrastructure Development, Healthcare Service and Economic self- reliance through convergence of services Provided by local governments through advocacy, networking and capacity building for both marginalised Youth and women in the society.
Our Mission
To lead with wisdom, inspire with knowledge and good judgements, and mentor youth and women in making sound choices and decisions based on truth and honesty to embrace their power, purpose and value and to take responsibility for their relationships.
To promote Youth and Women Empowerment, Gender Equality, Governance and Democracy Entrepreneurship, Leadership skills in South Sudan through advocacy, networking and capacity building for both girls, young women and men in society.
Our Motto
The Motto of the organization is our Future our concern to create an environment of socialization and cultural Understanding, equitable distribution of wealth and mutual help, social justice, peace, love and humanity.
Our Goals

To enhance community security and to provide psychosocial support for survivors.

To empower women livelihood programs and to empower women/young girls with education to reduce illiteracy rate in the community.

To encourage the participation of South Sudanese Women in politics, social, economic, and decision-making.

To protect human rights, counsel, support victim of human rights violation, facilitate access to justice, and promote peace-building process in targeted areas.

To assist women in setting up income generating activities and resettlement of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and returnees.

Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all programmes through an integrated programmatic approach, ensuring vulnerable communities have access to basic services and are empowered on their rights.

Strengthen YWEID’s core functions to effectively support the implementation of quality programmes and ensure the long- term sustainability of the organisation.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHMENT
YWEID is registered to Reshape, Redirect, Uphold the values of social transformative leadership, and promote holistic Youth and Women empowerment to serve the community in terms of socio-economic development, education and environment promotional activities and to build a responsible and self-sustainable society.
